WEIGHT TRAINING HELP
 
Need some help with your weight training program?  Whether you are new to weight training, in need of a complete routine make-over or just looking for some tips and motivation, the City of Langley Fitness Team is here to help you reach your goals. 
 
WEIGHT ROOM ORIENTATIONS: 
Book a 1 hour orientation with one our BCRPA certified trainers and learn how to use the cardio and strength equipment safely and effectively.  Orientations will include a basic program designed for beginners to get you started in the weight room with confidence.  Please note, this is not a personal training program - it is a beginner program suitable for most individuals starting out with weight training.

Cost:  $12.50+gst

Dates/ Times:  A variety of days and times are available for Weight Room Orientations.  Please check with reception staff at Timms Community Centre to book a convenient time for you.  604-514-2940.

PERSONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS:  

Work with a certified BCRPA personal trainer to create a tailored fitness program to meet your specific needs and goals.  Personal Training sessions are one hour each and will include a fitness assessment, detailed program design, motivational workouts and support from your trainer.  Need extra motivation and support?  Book tandem training sessions and train with a friend or spouse!  Training sessions will be scheduled according to your availability so there's no excuse.... book your trainer today!

GROUP WEIGHT TRAINING PROGRAMS:

Need the extra motivation?  Personal training is also available in a small group setting!  You will still get a personalized weight training program to suit your individual goals and needs but you will also get the added bonus of a more social setting with others who are working towards similar goals.

Prime Time Training (55+ yrs) - COED

In a small group setting, a certified personal trainer will guide you through the use of equipment and set participants up with an appropriate and effective fitness routine.  Proper strength training will increase your joint mobility and flexibility while strengthening core muscles allowing for more stability.

Tai-Chi (Yang style)

Brought to you by the Fraser Valley Tai Chi Arts (formerly known as Fraser Valley Taijiquan Association). Instructor Travis Crombie is a 7th generation teacher of Yang Style Tai. Chi with over 30 years experience.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise which emphasizes slow, graceful, connected, flowing movements helping to cultivate a relaxed body and mind. It combines the calm of meditation, the harmonizing and healing potential of the best medicine and the subtle skills of the internal martial arts. Beginners welcome!  This course will teach:

PRE/POSTNATAL FITNESS

Fit 4 Two™ offers a variety of fitness programs that are safe and effective for mom's to be and new moms.  Proper exercise and fitness routines may help with not only childbirth but recovery afterwards.  Fit 4 Two™ Instructors a specially trained to tailor workouts according to the needs of expecting moms and those new moms.  Classes are informative, fun and very social... great way to meet other mom's in your neighbourhood and spend some quality time with your babies.

Mom & Baby Barre

Designed for postpartum women,  this program focuses on posture, core strength and flexibility.  Inspired by a blend of dance, strength training, pilates and yoga using the ballet barre and a variety of equipment.  Pre-mobile babies only please!

Stroller Fitness

A mobile way for you to get a full body workout and still spend time with your baby.  Each class includes intervals of power walking, functional strength training and cardio drills followed by post-natal specific core work and flexibility training.  Ideal for babies who like to be on the move and a great way to meet and socialize with other moms in your community.  This class is indoor/outdoor weather permitting- please dress accordingly.

BOOTCAMP

Join us for an early morning workout that will get your day started with renewed energy and motivation! STRONGER YOU - Ladies Only Introductory Strength & Conditioning Program

Ladies it's your time - time to become health educated, confident and STRONG!  Our Certified Personal Trainer will coach you and several other woment through a health and wellness journey that will not only transform your body but your mind and spirit as well!  Participants will meet 3X per week for 4 weeks and be introduced to a variety of weight room exercises and home workouts designed by our instructor to meet your specific goals.  No previous weight training experience needed - beginners welcome!
