The City of Langley has moved a step closer to its vision for a healthy and active community after receiving $175,000 in donations to support the new Timms Community Centre. The sponsorship funding has been key to purchasing new fitness equipment for the Centre, providing access to state-of-the-art amenities for the whole community and offsetting the impact to taxpayers. The donations came from prominent families and business leaders in the community recognizing the important role healthy living, and an active lifestyle will play in the future of the community.
Eating healthy is often easier said than done; however the City of Langley is making it simpler than ever with its Live 5-2-1-0 program. As part of its commitment to a healthier community, the City is reminding residents to eat right and exercise while providing new facilities to make a healthy lifestyle accessible to everyone.
