The Official Community Plan is a policy guide for managing land use and development in the City of Langley. Official Community Plan Bylaw, 2005, No. 2600 was adopted by Langley City Council on April 24, 2006.

Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 2817

OCP Amendment Bylaw No. 2817 was adopted by City Council on May 31, 2010. The main purpose of Bylaw No. 2817 was to incorporate greenhouse gas reduction targets as required by provincial legislation. In addition, the bylaw also amended the OCP to reflect the following recent plans and studies:

  • Community Energy and GHG Emissions Plan
  • Corporate Energy and GHG Emissions Plan
  • Sustainability Framework
  • Downtown Master Plan
  • Social Plan
  • Affordable Housing Strategy
  • Accessibility & Inclusiveness Study
