Construction of a new playground at Brydon Park is now underway.
Langley City Council would like to thank Jim McGregor and Leigh Castron for their involvement and contributions as Co-Chairs for the Langley Christmas Bureau, and would like to applaud them for their years of service that has contributed to its success. Jim McGregor and Leigh Castron have both decided to step down from their Coordinator positions next year, for the 2016 season. They will still be available to ensure a smooth transition but feel it is time to turn over the reigns.
Nomination forms are available at Langley City Hall in the Administration Department between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, beginning 8:30 am December 15, 2015 until the close of the nomination period.
Are you eligible to vote in the February 27, 2016 By-election for one position of Councillor? Is your name on the current list of electors? If you are not sure you can find out by calling 604-514-2800 or visiting the Langley City Hall, 20399 Douglas Crescent, Langley B.C. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays). Advance elector registrations will be accepted at the Langley City Hall office until January 5, 2016 but please note Langley City Hall will be closed December 25, 2015 to January 3, 2016, inclusive. With the exception of registrations on voting days, elector registrations will not be accepted during the period of January 6 to February 28, 2016.
During the Holiday season, the City of Langley will have limited hours of operation.
On December 7, 2015 the City Council unveiled its Industrial Business Attraction & Expansion Study intended to improve industrial business attraction and expansion within the City of Langley.
