Langley, BC – The new Timms Community Centre, located at 20399 Douglas Crescent, will officially open its doors on Wednesday, February 24th, and Langley residents and visitors are invited to experience the Centre’s facilities first-hand with an afternoon of free classes and demonstrations.
The City is currently undergoing the process of compiling resident and stakeholder feedback for the City Park Master Plan.
The soft opening of the new Timms Community Centre, located at 20399 Douglas Crescent, will not take place on Monday, February 22nd as originally planned.
The City of Langley is injecting social into the mix at the new Timms Community Centre with state-of-the-art Android-based workout equipment. Users can turn the machines into a personal device for the entire duration of their workout by using the Android tools and applications. Technogym equipment enables members to access their fitness data, view their training programs along with descriptions and videos of the exercises, and share information via smartphone. Users can customize and personalize their experience by connecting their electronic devices.
With the Timms Community Centre Grand Opening around the corner, the City of Langley is ramping up their drive to get people out and active. Throughout February, the City will be promoting health through its "Moments of Activity" campaign.
The City of Langley is planning for the upgrade of 203 Street, Grade Crescent to Michaud Crescent and is seeking the public’s input.
