The City of Langley replacing water and sewer mains along 56 Avenue from Glover Road to the Langley Bypass.
The City of Langley is pleased to announce that the 203rd Street project, between Michaud Crescent and 53rd Avenue (including the new roundabout), is on schedule to complete the first phase of construction.
Holiday hours will be in effect on December 24, 2016, and will continue until January 2nd, 2017. The Holiday Hours of Operations includes City Hall, Fire Hall Administration, Langley City FVRL Library, Douglas Recreation Centre, Timms Community Centre and the City's Operations Center. In the event of an emergency during the closure, such as water main break, flood or critical service disruption, standby operations personnel can be notified through the Emergency After Hours Phone Line at 604.534.3496.
Timms Community Centre won the Community Institutional Building Award of Excellence at the 5th Annual Fraser Valley Commercial Building Awards on Thursday, November 17th at Cascades Casino Resort in Langley. The Fraser Valley Commercial Building Awards celebrates the best in commercial and industrial construction projects completed between January 1, 2015, and August 31, 2016. A record 40 finalist were competing for top honours in 11 categories including new institutional, commercial, industrial, multi-family, recreational, and renovation projects.
Their hard work, vision, and values helped shape the community and make Langley the place it is today. On November 19, they were feted at a celebration held to honour local pioneers and show them how much their contributions are appreciated.
