Langley City Council has decided to change their approach to address matters related to parks, recreation, environment, public arts and culture, public safety and homelessness. At the Regular Council Meeting on Monday, December 12, 2016, Council approved the new direction.
Langley, BC – Residents who were impacted by the fire at the 5600-block of 201 A Street fire were updated on the status of their buildings at the evacuee-only information centre at 12:00pm at Douglas Recreation Centre at 20550 Douglas Crescent. The meeting was facilitated by the Langley Emergency Program with the Langley City Fire Chief, Rory Thompson in attendance to provide another update to the people who were directly affected.
Langley, BC – Residents who have been impacted by the fire at Paddington Station Apartment complex in the 5600- block of 201 A Street (buildings 5650, 5660 and 5640 ) have been updated by authorities at the evacuee-only information session and will be transported to local accommodations.
The City would like to empathsize with the residents who have been impacted by the fire at Paddington Station Apartment complex in the 5600- block of 201 A Street. City and Township Fire crews are on the scene, and the fire has now been contained. Crews are currently conducting a room by room search to ensure safety in the area. The building is heavily damaged and the structures in the area have not been determined safe for re-entry.

The City of Langley is pleased to announce that the 203rd Street project, between Michaud Crescent and 53rd Avenue (including the new roundabout), is on schedule to complete the first phase of construction.
