kidsport

KidSport™ Langley was launched in the fall of 2010 and provides grants for local children ages 6 to 18 to participate in a sport season of their choice.  These grant opportunities are available to children who are residents of either the City of Langley or the Township of Langley.

With the ongoing help from dedicated corporate partners along with the support of local business, organizations, service groups and individuals, KidSport™ Langley is able to fulfill their mission “So ALL Kids Can Play!” Click here to go to their web site.

Recreation, Culture and Public Art Advisory Committee (RCPAC)

Members of the RCPAC Committee are appointed by City Council for a term of one year. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00pm in the CKF Room at Langley City Hall. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

The purpose of the RCPAC is to:

  1. Act as the advisor to City Council on general recreation, cultural and public arts matters as may be referred to them by Council or the Chief Administrative Officer;

  2. Provide advice on the long range planning, programming, development and promotion of community recreation, cultural and public arts activities and recreation facilities as it pertains to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Master Plan, or as requested by Council or the Chief Administrative Officer;

  3. Be active in the planning, promotion and implementation of community events and community initiatives that enhances the furtherance of recreation, cultural and public arts activities in the City.
