Spirit of Innovation Award

At the recent convention of the Municipal Information Systems Association of British Columbia (MISA BC), Ken Ogden, Manager of Information Services for the City of Langley, was presented with the Spirit of Innovation Award. This annual award is presented in “Recognition of Outstanding Professional Achievement and Technological Innovation” with the winning submission being selected through a vote by the more than 300 delegates in attendance.

The City of Langley was one of six jurisdictions that presented at the convention held in Harrison Hot Springs, B.C. on September 18th through 21st, 2012. The City of Langley won the award for developing its “Low-Cost Public WiFi Solution”, which has been deployed locally as “B-NET”.

MISA BC will be sponsoring Mr. Ogden at the GTECH conference in Ottawa in November 2012 where he will represent B.C. at the national government technology convention.
