The first three years on City Council have been a learning experience. Understanding my roles and responsibilities as a councilor have been challenging but rewarding as I have gained knowledge on the structure of running a City. I strive to best understand the functions of City Council and the role we play in making decisions that will best represent the Citizens in the City of Langley. I have come to realize the importance and the high cost of replacing the aging infrastructure and also know at the same time that we must continue to focus on the many other needs within the City. Finding balance is not always easy but is necessary in order to sustain the best quality of life for the Citizens today and in the future.

My passion for the arts, environment, community partnerships and the health and welfare of the Citizens of the City of Langley continue to be the strength and asset I bring to Council. My role as a volunteer on the Langley Arts Council where I serve as the president helps me to better understand and advocate for the many diverse arts groups and individuals within the City. My children continue to educate me on the importance of best environmental practices for sustaining not only the health of our planet but for ourselves. My continual involvement within the school district, Saint Joes Back Door Soup Kitchen and the Langley Christmas Bureau help me to stay connected, understand and work towards strengthening partnerships to  support  children, youth, the homeless and the less fortunate.

I look towards innovative, creative and sustainable ways in moving Langley City forward. I am dedicated to best serve the Citizens by collaborating with them, City staff and the rest of City Council.
