It is a privilege to be representing the citizens of Langley on Council. Although the next three years will bring challenges, I believe it will be a rewarding experience and I look forward to it.
I am the second oldest of twelve children and was born and raised in East Vancouver. I was fortunate to have experienced a community rich in arts, culture and diversity. It was there that my passion developed through my involvement in sports, recreation and the arts.
My husband and I and our seven children moved to Langley thirteen years ago and since then I have had the pleasure of being involved in this community in a number of ways. I’ve volunteered at St. Joe’s Back Door Soup Kitchen, The Langley Christmas Bureau, and Communities in Bloom. I’ve also been involved in the local school community by coaching many school sports teams and girls soccer. As well, I’ve been extensively involved with three Parent Advisory Committees. I've had the pleasure working with students creating murals and taking part in art and community projects. Through my involvement with Community committees and within schools I've been able to work with individuals of all ages.
Langley City is a place where I feel one can raise a family and become involved in the community as well. It is important to me that we continue to work on support programs for the needy, for youth and for families. I take pride and pleasure in making Langley City safe, accessible and inviting not only for its residents, but for our visitors as well. I value where I live and most importantly, I value the lives of the citizens who have put their faith in me. I promise to work to the best of my ability in serving you.
